Nobody Knows That I…

Watch my babies as they sleep.

Nobody knows that I cry when it’s been a rough day.

Nobody knows that I enjoy watching kids shows with my children (I get really into them to the point where I’m shushing people who are talking over the TV)

Nobody knows that I get anxious when I bring my children into public because of all the recent events.

Nobody knows that I pray for my family to stay together and maintain happy and healthy lives.

Nobody knows that I sometimes let my kids “cry it out” because I just can’t take it anymore.

Nobody knows that I sometimes go a day or two or three without bathing my children because “they didn’t get dirty today.”

Nobody knows that sometimes I compare my life to other’s via social media.

Nobody knows that I don’t feel at home in my hometown (ok maybe some people know that).

Nobody knows the I cry when I am really angry.

Nobody knows that I hate confrontation.

Nobody knows that sometimes I hate the way I look.

On the other hand, nobody knows that sometimes I don’t care how I look.

Nobody knows that I am afraid to enroll my kids into school.

Nobody knows that I sometimes my battery needs to be recharged and if it doesn’t then I will come off as rude.

Nobody knows that I don’t like most kids that aren’t my own.

Nobody knows that I compare my kids’ milestones to other children.

Nobody knows that sometimes I feel like a failure (it’s ok).

Nobody knows that some days my kids skip naps.

Nobody knows that I don’t trust many people.

Nobody knows that I put my family before everyone else.

Nobody knows that on most days I’d rather have a night in rather than a night out.

Nobody knows that by 10 PM I’m exhausted.

Nobody knows that I sometimes enjoy cleaning my house because it relaxes me (did I just say that out loud).

Nobody knows about my insecurities.

Nobody knows that I have zero decorating skills.

Nobody knows that I barely have any patience anymore.

Nobody knows that I’ve lost touch with a few great friends over the years.

Now you know.
